EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Martin Ryan was a New South Wales Graded referee from 1992 to 2002, officiating at National Rugby Lague (NRL) and New South Wales Cup level. In these roles, Martin saw first-hand the need for referees to be given greater respect and recognition.

Ever since retiring, Martin has advocated strongly for a body which enables professional match officials to think, speak and act collectively, and one which genuinely elevates match officials to their proper status as a key stakeholder in our Game. This led Martin to be one of the founders of Professional Rugby League Match Officials Incorporated.

Outside of Rugby League, Martin is a self-employed consultant in business strategy and business performance improvement.
